You will also visit Mother’s Village that was evolved out of the need for protection and care for the children who were wounded by the loss of their homes and parental care during and after the war. The Mothers Village was founded by father Slavko Barbaric whom was the parish priest in the time of the first Apparitions.

Assistance for visit “Cenacolo” Community which was founded in Saluzzo (Italy) by Sr. Elvira Petrozzi in 1983, in order to help drug addicts. The main goal of the community is to discover and to live true values of Christian life.
Have a beautiful prayer moment at The Oasis of Peace, which is a contemplative community situated at the base of Apparition Hill and living by Divine Providence. They have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration and when I was there, their chapel is open to the public from 9 am - 12noon.  Here I reproduce with permission a most interesting talk given by one of the community in June 2003, in two parts, firstly the introduction, followed by the talk itself.

Let us help you experience it the best way and return home with a beautiful heart.

ITINERARY

Day 1 -7 Upon arrival at the Airport, your driver will then depart for a 2 1/2 hour drive along the beautiful Adriatic Coast by private motor coach to the village of Medjugorje. Here, you will meet the host families and settle in their home in whose modern and comfortable house you will be staying for the following week. (B.D)

In Medjugorje, you may follow the group program or select to be on your own. Each day (in the language of your choice) you are welcome to join in the celebration of the Eucharist and attend talks, concerning our Blessed Mother's messages with Priests, Visionaries, nuns and others, visit to Cenacolo at the Hamlet of Bijakovici, where local craftsmen and artisans give testimony to Our Lady's work in their lives.

You will visit Bijakovici to see the visionaries and their homes, and to meditate at the Blue Cross Mountain. Morning climbs will be scheduled for our groups for Podbrdo Mountain (Apparition hill) and Krizevac Mountain (Cross mountain). Your guide will accompany you as you follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. As you climb, you can see the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting each mystery of the rosary and touch and pray before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary appeared to the visionaries. In 1933, the villagers built a thirty-foot cross at Cross Mountain, to commemorate the 1900 year anniversary of Christ's crucifixion.

Each evening you are welcome to join the other pilgrims and the parish community of St. James Church for the recitation of the Rosary, the celebration of the Eucharist, and prayers for the sick. On alternative evenings you will have the opportunity to attend the Holy Hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or Veneration of the Cross.

Early afternoon talks are often held in the green tents or at the rotunda-circular podium stage at the back of St. James Church. The relaxed Traveler is a Happy Traveler!
The happiest travelers are the most relaxed travelers, and those that go abroad with an open mind to see and experience new things. Try to accept what the day offers with an open mind. Try to remember that no one has brought the rain just to spite them; no one has deliberately caused the plane or the bus to be late to frustrate them.

A smile and a sense of humor is contagious, try it!

Very pleasant visit

Everything is according to the contract and very punctual. The truth is that we had doubts about traveling to Medjugorje for the first time with two little kids, but we had a very pleasant surprise, everything was excellent at the hotel with employees who were very kind to the children, as well as the transfers to the airport and the guide. Thank you for making our visit to Medjugorje very pleasant. I definitely recommend their services.
