Day by day

Day 1

Sarajevo – Mostar

Guided walk through Baščaršija's sweet shops, cafés and craft workshops and the Austro-Hungarian quarter, with an Orthodox church, a Catholic church, a mosque and a synagogue a few minutes apart. Afternoon drive over the mountains to Mostar. Dinner and overnight in the old town.

Day 2

Mostar

Private guided tour: the Franciscan Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Old Bridge, the bazaar, a Turkish house and an old mosque. Free time and lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3

Blagaj & wine tasting

The Tekija at the source of the Buna, an optional canoe trip on the Trebižat, then vineyards and a cellar tour tasting Žilavka and Blatina with local cheese and ham.

Day 4

Počitelj & the Neretva valley

The open-air museum of Počitelj and its tower views, then along the Neretva with an optional stop at the Monastery of the Annunciation.

Day 5

Hutovo Blato & Kravice

A boat ride through Hutovo Blato, one of the largest bird reserves in this part of Europe (a nature park since 1995), lunch in nature, and an afternoon swim at Kravice.
