Visit the church of St. Anthony of Padua and the Franciscan monastery in Humac, near Ljubuški, about 15 minutes from Medjugorje. The monastery was built in 1869.
Its museum, founded in 1884, is the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Renovated and reopened in 2003 in the monastery's lower floor, it displays finds from the wider Herzegovina region covering almost 16,000 years, from the Paleolithic through the ancient and medieval periods. Around 70 Roman monuments have been found around Ljubuški, mostly gravestones of veterans and legionaries.
